Healthcare & life sciences
Clinical and patient products that survive real wards and real regulation.
Platforms for clinicians, patients, pharma and research. Configurable across conditions, defensible under governance.
What’s different here
- 01
Clinician time is the scarcest resource. Every screen competes with a patient.
- 02
Patients have to keep going. Adherence, diaries, PROMs and exercises only work if they fit a life, not a protocol.
- 03
Data is sensitive by default. Consent, minimisation, audit trails and deletion are product features, not policies.
- 04
One platform, many conditions. Pathways, measures and interventions must be configurable without a development cycle.
- 05
Evidence matters. Cohorts, outcomes and analytics have to be interpretable by clinicians and defensible to researchers.
What we’ve done
Established the design framework for a modular long-term-condition management platform used by hospitals, pharma and research institutes: a system where a clinic can configure its own patient app from pathways, PROMs, diaries, exercises, messaging and measures.
Redesigned the clinician portal to surface AI-assisted analytics through modular components and clear data visualisation.
Ran patient workshops and clinician sessions across conditions including oncology, rheumatology and Crohn’s disease, and supported a deployment at a teaching hospital as a specialist cancer solution.
Proved the framework under pressure: a COVID-recovery app launched on the same modular system.
Applied the same discipline to our own product: bring-your-own-key encryption, EU hosting, PII stripping before every AI call, audit logging and data-subject tooling.
What we bring
- Service design across clinician, patient and admin roles
- Clinical dashboards and data visualisation
- Modular design systems for configurable products
- Research with clinicians and patients
- Privacy engineering and GDPR tooling
- AI features with a human in the loop
Principles
Design for the clinician’s 90 seconds and the patient’s 90 days.
Configurable beats custom; custom beats generic.
If the AI can’t show its reasoning, it doesn’t belong on the ward.
